Artificial intelligence extends learning beyond the classroom by providing students with opportunities to explore concepts, receive feedback, and engage in self-directed learning. However, educators must carefully design out-of-class assignments that encourage authentic learning while maintaining academic integrity. This week examines how educational organizations can create meaningful assignments that leverage AI as a learning partner rather than a shortcut to completing academic work.

Discussion 10 (10 points)
How Should Artificial Intelligence Change Out-of-Class Assignments?
After completing this week's readings, discuss how educators should redesign homework, projects, and other out-of-class assignments in response to artificial intelligence. What types of assignments continue to promote authentic learning, and which traditional assignments may no longer be effective? Support your response using evidence from the required readings and the additional reading.
Respond substantively to at least two classmates by extending the discussion through additional evidence, thoughtful questions, or professional experiences.

Designing AI-Enhanced Out-of-Class Learning
Building upon your work from the previous weeks, prepare a 3–4 page section describing how your selected educational organization can redesign out-of-class learning experiences to support responsible and meaningful use of artificial intelligence.
Your analysis should address the following:
• Evaluate current homework and out-of-class learning practices within the organization.
• Recommend strategies for integrating AI into assignments while promoting authentic learning.
• Explain how assignment design can strengthen critical thinking, creativity, and student engagement.
• Identify safeguards that support academic integrity and responsible AI use.
• Explain how these recommendations align with your organization's overall AI implementation strategy.
This assignment becomes the tenth section of your semester-long Organizational AI Implementation Plan.
